Green Wax Before After Very Small Vegetable Garden--Is Corn Possible?

Very small vegetable garden--Is corn possible? - green wax before after

I have a very small garden - 5x12. My little girl pushes me to grow corn. Is it possible to grow some corn (I know it is completely ineffective) in this area? How much space do you need from each stem? Can be planted behind the tomatoes and other vegetables, so you do not block the sunlight? I assume the vegetables along with each other, but I've never tried the corn before.

As a rule, they grow cucumbers, tomatoes, green and yellow beans, peas, radishes, and one years of melons.

Thank you for your thoughts. She also wanted the watermelon, but I think she understands that this will not happen this year.

I mean sweet corn, as the pioneers. Think of a cube with the number 5 5 points in a square and a center. I plant my corn and sweet. A Sqaure every 8 inches or less. People say you need at least three rows of corn pollinating plant, but it supports. Plant in rows about 1 m apart, can be taken from each side. In a long series of 5 meters is likely to grow, 30 to 35 grains. Palnt For 2 ears, if everyone would come and development of about 150 spikes. Of course, not all can be achieved. The Pioneers have, and planted climbing beans and squash, pumpkin or corn side. A kind of autonomous network to do. Try it, you will be surprised! My garden is 25 x 55ft. I work 2 rows of maize and have enough to give the family something. I learned in the Lincoln Log State Park in Illinois. Growing up as in 1845th

Each plant needs about 1 foot away. The chances are good that you have a better pollination and therefore a better development of the ear, if you have multiple lines of equipment. Thus, instead of a range of 12 meters, a block of perhaps six rows of 3 feet. I recently read that data from various sources, including the backs of seed packets. If you are not really room for multiple lines, you can ensure a good pollination by hand. If the border is down by pollen, which shake the tassel on a small bag, the bag over the silks and shake the pollen on the silks. To do this, once a day for a few days to fertilize the eggs.

Corn .... Easy ... Lots of sun ... and tons of nitrogen.

As the watermelon ... depends on where you live.

View Website seed ..... territorial seeds are adapted to the environment to promote growth.

In fact, I've grown into a corn pot.it sun.plant full 3 seeds per hole, 1.5 cm deep and 2 meters apart.when 3 cm or less, to a high nitrogen content fertilizer spot.use rod or " miracle grow ". Acorns, if seems, that can pollinate by hand with a brush border brush.just for individual plants to pollen transfer.

Of course, you should be able to grow corn. There are hybrids, which begins when the harvest will be acquired, have a cycle of 45 to 60 days of the outbreak of the culture. They produce only a pair of ears per stalk, but if just for fun, which should be enough right? I grew the variety of the early harvest of 12 inches by 12 inches deep, in pots with a diameter of in my garden last year and it worked.

Note that you should have about 12 centimeters each stem.

Good luck.
